The word “gaze” in recent study on the Postcolonism culture are frequently used ,which original meaning is fix eyes on sth or staring at sth. However in the critical context of postcolonism, the meaning was expanded as using heterogeneous cultural vision to examine the context. It is oblige to use heterogeneous vision for reference to examine A nation itself. While there is a problem to be considered: every time talking about examine or scaning ourselves, it is always the “orientalism”,which means the eastern countries are always examined by the western ountries especially the developed capitalized countries like the US, it is seldom to find out any clue about the US could accept very modestly the examinations from the others.
A Chinese scholar mentioned the criticism on postcolonism in the outset is to create a pure indigenous language context and value jusgements without any western didacticism, but indeed, postcolonism itself comes from the the intellecturals who was embedded by the weatern value judgements and enjoy the priorities they gained from those jusgements.
